To compare data to NWS radar data see http://www.srh.noaa.gov/rfcshare/precip_analysis_new.php The radar data is from 5am to 5am in New Mexico similar as the CoCoRaHS data which is 7am to 7am . The spacing is  on 4 km by 4 km grid.
