Location: From HWY 44 and Blanco Trading Post, turn S on HWY 57 and follow dirt road 33 mi. to NPS headquarters and Weather station. Road can be dangerous when wet or icy.

Elevation:  6174 feet

Latitude: 36°02 ' N

Longitude: 107°54 ' W

Ground Cover: In canyon floor 1/2 to 1 mi. wide. Rocky ridges parallel canyon on either side. Generally open to S & flattening out.
