  • High percent single centers
  • Typical yellow sweet Spanish bulbs
  • Very high yield potential
  • Can produce very large bulbs

Developed from crosses between intermediate and long day varieties. Released in 1996. NuMex CENTRIC is a late intermediate, or early long day variety for spring-seeding or transplanting. When transplanted, it matures about July 10 to 15. Bulb and foliage characteristics are typical 'Yellow Sweet Spanish'. NuMex CENTRIC is the highest yielding of all of the spring-planted varieties that we have tested, either on pink root free or infested land. It has the potential to produce very large bulbs from either spring-seeding or transplanting. NuMex CENTRIC is highly single-centered, and is suggested for testing to produce bulbs for ring processing. It has excellent tolerance to pink root.
