NuMex SUNLITE
  • Plant September 25
  • May 20 to June 1 maturity
  • Should be harvested by June 5
  • Excellent quality for pre-packs and mediums

Yellow Grano type. Very uniform size and shape. Should be planted on time and provided nitrogen and water to get as much growth as possible during the winter in order to get size and yield. When planted later and stressed during winter, it tends to mature later with smaller bulbs and lower yields. Not adapted for harvest in mid to late June, when high temperatures may cause heat damage. When well-grown and harvested by June 1, it has good firmness and adequate scale to minimize damage in handling. One of the best varieties available for tolerance to pink root.
